ROBERT ALFARO
The Broad Superintendents Academy Class of 2004
Region Superintendent
Clark County School District, Las Vegas, Nev.
"The federal No Child Left Behind Act has propelled our profession into rethinking how public education does business. At no other time in history has such a challenge been given to the profession, with such a focus on local accountability for student academic performance. The stakes are greater than ever, but the beneficiaries are the students in our public schools. The next generation of education leadership must rise to the challenge and serve as a catalyst for change."
